What I’m rating with this 5 star is the bakery. Not the tea salon.
The owner of the bakery is a MOF, which means he won a very harsh competition to get his title. He has been 2nd to the best baguette of Paris in 2014.
Now what you should take is any viennoiseries : croissant, pain au chocolat, chausson aux pommes, pain suisse. Or any small pastries : the best being the Tarte Tatin.
The Paris Brest and the Mille feuille are terribly good.
The quiche looked very good, juicy, generous last time I went.
Some French cakes are baked to hard, you are not supposed to eat them like but with a tea or a coffee.
You come to a bakery, please choose a vegetarian option that is not a cooked dish ( potatoes, lettuces etc ) . i.e take bread items : almost everything is vegetarian then. I’m annoyed sometimes to see the bakery trying to make vegetarian dishes to please everyone, this goes against the essence bakery : which is to bake.
I have read the comments saying that they overcharge when you sit, and it is true ( thanks to Mc Donald ) because the taxes to sit or takeaway are different ( 5,5% vs 20%, btw McDonald only pays 5,5 %)
Also, about the friendliness of the staff, things are made from scratch, which means you may have someone who has been here since 4 am for the bakers, 6 am for the staff. They may be tired as they don’t just come at 8am to empty a fridge or worst : a freezer.
Again, that tarte Tatin you are not going to find everywhere, and it is so well made. My family is from Normandy, and the apples he chose are perfectly acid enough to balance the sugar. A marvel. The whipped heavy cream on the top is cuddling.- Parking

This stop was maybe the french place i visited in Paris. Good coffee and deserts. The interior send you back in time. We had great time here. This was my friend favorite place when he lived near by! Recommend!

So Parisian! Beautiful surroundings and tasty treats! The pastries were buttery and flaky. The windows are full of pastries, quiches and breads from a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) winner. Excellent location for people watching too.

The most tasty bakery in Paris. Everything they make is soooo good. And yes there is a bakery and a cafe near by. And it is normal to pay for service if you seat at the table. The service is fast and friendly. I feel like a guest not just a customer. Love to come here and can highly recommend it!

At the and when we paid the bill and left a tip they told us to wait and so we did and then the guy came back with two little bags and gave us two pastries as a present, so I highly recommend going there.- Service

I would give this place infinite stars if I could. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is absolutely wonderful. I have been coming here every day for three days to study for my upcoming exam. Le Petit Versailles du Marais has turned a stressful experience into the best memory I've had of Paris. As soon as I walk in, I feel surrounded by family. I am welcomed happily, asked about my day, and fed as if I was at my grandma's house. Monica and Suri (I might be misspelling his name) are two of the funniest and kindest people I have encountered, and will make your day. If you have children, this is an absolute must - Monica will keep them happy and entertained, because that is just who she is. Forget the Louvre - this is the place to visit in Paris, especially to get a very local Parisian feel. I remain eternally grateful to Monica and Suri.Visited in June 2022

This is such a cute place to get some cake and tea. The decor is adorable. The server spoke English for and patiently explained where things were and recommended the cake pictured and it was delicious. The tea was great as well.

Oh my goodness me. We came in here after the catacombs. It is the best French bread, coffee and sweet we have experienced- since being in Paris. Amazing. Truly delicious and relaxed atmosphere...
Croissants are amazing. The baked goods I tried were delicious. Capuccino is pretty good.
One of the best croissant and goat cheese bread I've ever tasted in Paris not to say in my life! 💫✨ Tasted again the cookies ! OUT OF THIS WORLD!
